E91 boot won't shut

Hi guys I'm in need of some help, on the weekend my boot stuck shut and I had to use the emergency release to get the pram out. However the boot now will not shut. I've checked the wires between car and boot there was some damaged wires which I've fixed and I checked the fuses but it still doesn't work. I'm stumped!

Does it show any codes? I'm guessing the electric latch mechanism has given up the ghost, but it could be a connection, as you mentioned.

Is there a latch/bar/whatever in the mechanism you can move manually? Like a door latch that has been moved once the door is open preventing it from shutting.

Yes, you fixed the fact that he was thinking maybe Americans weren't so obsessed with only the 50 'great' states. Really glad you corrected him. Really*

Not showing any codes, I've come to the same conclusion about the lock mechanism, and the fact that the split boot worked until I pulled the emergency release. Points towards a already broken lock.

Hopefully it's not one of the Comfort Access switches/locks. I'm not sure how that might affect the price...

Standard item looks about $135 US new.

Will be interested to hear how this goes for you - being a fellow E91'er.
