Question M performance quad exhaust question...

Hi guys,
Been looking online at used 335d's that have the full m performance parts fitted...
Some have the 'quad exhaust system' and wondered what that was exactly???
Is that just aesthetics or is there a difference in the sound?
Any thoughts on these and are they worth paying extra for?
TIA

Garage List
Probably a bit more sound, but not a huge amount!

You looking to come back to a F30?

What's happening with the E63?

There's limits to the sound of a diesel exhaust, officially there's no genuine quad system that BMW offers so they'll all be aftermarket with either an unchanged sound (purposely for aesthetics) or slightly 'groanier' sound.

Hi stranger Hope you're all good?
Well...I maybe going back to an F30. I actually have a G30 540i on order but there's all sort of problems with it now
I ordered it a few weeks ago with the promise that it would be here by the end of May. I checked online with a genius the other day and now it's changed to week 35 for production with an estimated delivery date of week 38/39
Still waiting to hear back from my dealer RE options etc. but I'm not confident at all. If they can't do anything to resolve it then I'll just cancel my order.
If that happens then I'm thinking of ditching the new car idea and getting a used one instead.
My budget isn't very big for used but I'm considering a 3 or 5 series in either of the 30/35 engines but this time I fancy going with the m performance kit. I'd like something a bit special looking but also want the power to match. I really dislike 'all show & no go' cars. Can't see the point personally but each to their own.
I've seen a few 3 series cars online with m performance kit but lots of them have the quad exhaust and to be honest I'm not sure if I like them over standard.
I really like the look of a 3 series saloon in Melbourne Red but again these are rare. Not sure if the 5 comes in that colour too...
I love the refinement of bigger cars and I've been really spoilt the past 2 years in my E63 hence ordering the new 5.
Anyway, apologies for the long winded response!
Any thoughts or ideas then please fire away. My 335d was a December 2013 plate and I would be happy to buy a car around that age if it was heavily specced. I love lots of toys Ideally I'd like to get something towards the end of it's warranty but we'll see.
In the meantime I'm investigating options in order to save time later on.
Bye for now...

So, overall thoughts on your time with a Mercedes?

What's the delays with the new 5 series?

Merc is immense! I will miss it...a lot
It's not perfect by any means but it's pretty damn good as an all rounder.
The suspension is outstanding. Probably my favourite part about the car other than the sound
Gearbox is OK but not as good as others. It's missed a beat on more than one occasion unfortunately.
It's also a real head turner. A lot more than I thought it would be. At the end of the day it's a big silver taxi but I guess in AMG form with extra carbon it just looks different
I've considered the C63 but deals are not there yet. Maybe they'll surface over the next 6-12 months which would be another good reason to buy used now.

Apparently there are issues getting the 40i engine. Could be to do with BMW strikes.
Either way I'm fed up but and the fact that I need some kind of vehicle for work makes it more stressful.

And you couldn't keep hold of the Merc for a bit longer?

C63 is very appealing! Might get me out of BMW's...
