Kw v1 rake or reverse rake !?.....
ust installed mine and rear are at half height and front a bit between half and lowest
I have a e90 335 2011 lci x drive and the rear still sit lower than the front even tho the front is lowered more. Is it better to have that reverse rake for the handling ?? I.kinda want to get the rear to max height for that rake cool stance but im afraid handling will suffer and the nose will dive on breaking Can i see your cars on kw v1 x drive and toughts on rake vs reverse rake ! Let me know in the comment below ill post pics tomorrow |

The rear wheel well is cut a bit lower than the front making the rear appear to sit lower, if you lower the front and rear the same distance. When I lowered mine, I measured the distance between the top of the wheel arch and the center of the wheel. I made sure they were the same distance front/rear. In doing so, the car APPEARS to have a rake. I think it looks the best that way and I cannot imagine you ever noticing a difference in handling. I never liked the rear squat look.

@OP, it's normal.

Looks good, I'd probably raise the rear 1/2in to make it equal though.

you don't have reverse rake. the wheel arch in the rear is just lower than the front. look at the angle of the rocker panel and notice of the front is lower than the rear.

That looks great! I really wish I lived in a place where I didn't have to drive through snow for 5 months out of the year - really keeps me from dropping the car like this.
Maybe I should get a winter beater...

How do you like the Kw v1's......have any scraping issues over bumps/humps parking entrances?
Pros/cons of them in your opinion?! Seriously considering kw's for my 328 x-drive just for better performance and to fill the front tire gap a little even though I never thought to lower my car before. TIA Plus I think your ride sits nice from photo IMO |

i never thought about lowering my car ever but my x drive suspension was driving me more nuts day by day and im at 90k miles now and it was pretty bouncy and had a huge rebound on bumps and also had A LOT of body roll at every kind of speed At first when i upgraded to Kw v1 oh wtf have i done to my car....it was very stiff and not comfortable....super rough but it handled great then after 150 kms of driving it became less stiff and way more comfortable the height is even better too. its less tight than when i just got it installed but still very very direct and precise and no roll at alll i get thumbs up and compliments all the time since i upgraded ( 3 days ago ) so overall im very happy and would do it again ! i just hope they last since i heard a couple leaking horror stories ! |
