My search is finally over
Hi guys,
The time came to renew my company car. After a quick look at our new policy I decided it was time to opt out. Rules had changed, new Car had to kept for 5 years or 100k miles (previously it was 3yrs). Selection of cars also significantly reduced. No more A4's, 3 series or C Class, just Fords, Nissans and lots of Vauxhalls! It was the 5 years that sealed it for me. So decision made, take the company opt out monthly cash sum, save on company car tax ( I'm in the higher tax bracket) and buy myself something special. Thanks to this forum and an extended 4 day test drive, I decided it had to be a well equipped 335d Xdrive. Top on my list was the m performance kit and alloys, adaptive suspension was also a must as was LED lights. The budget was set at £28k. After a brief search and a couple of viewings I quickly realised I needed to up the budget to £30k if I wanted my wish list. Still nothing, there was always one or the other option missing from the specification. Again budget increased to £35k, there had to be one out there in this range. I have to say it still took some searching, but I finally managed to find 'The One'. This should keep me entertained for a few years. It was 'the 5 years that sealed it' not 'the lots of Vauxhalls'?? : Haha
You've got a very special 335 there.. although those rims will be a nightmare to keep sparkling! |

Looks fantastic and great spec.
You may or may not know that as xdrive's come with bog standard jacked up SE springs, if you want it improve handling and lose the sky high ride then get some ACS springs fitted. They are a bit roly poly as standard.

Thank you all for your very kind words It took a while to find the right one but I'm really pleased with the end result.
As for modifications, the first thing has to be BMW MP Exhaust, I know its active sound but I don't care it sounds great. The tips will be changed at that point. I have considered the ACS springs (already declared in my insurance policy), but I hear there may be a conflict with the adaptive suspension? Will the install invalidate the warranty? |
