Tire recommendation for 19"

I'm doing some research on tires now that my wheels will be coming soon.

Any recommendation for tires? I know 235/35/19 is recommended and my rims will be 19x8.5 all around (I have an xi)

I am looking specifically for good wet traction, low road noise and a decent ride.

TIA!

General Exclaim UHP (great budget tire that fits all your requirements)
Falken FK452 (a few $$'s more, size runs skinny so 245/35-19 for this tire)
Sumitomo HTR-ZIII
Michelin PS2

Check out tire racks reviews on most of the good tires out there today.

Don't skimp on tires, they are the single most important performance mod you can make.

I did loads of research on this tire size, ended up buying a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 all-season from Tire Rack in the same size you mentioned and for that same size rim. Surprisingly the braking performance in dry traded punches with many ultra high performance summer tires and was better than some, while wet braking was immensely better. Road noise and ride quality also scored higher in their test result charts. They also have a generous rim protector. For a 19" tire I'm quite happy with them, when they break traction it happens very progressively and without alarm, not a problem to bring things back under control. Just don't bother asking for pricing locally, I tried Wheels-Direct, Steelcase and Extreme, the going price on one of these installed is around $470 a piece.

Edit: I bought the set, inclusive of shipping, brokerage, taxes (USA made so duty free) from Tire Rack for US$932.58. Then got them installed locally for $100 though I'm now aware that Steelcase would have done it for $80.

Thanks guys!

Been thinking a lot about the PS2 and is contemplating the Eagles now that GregL has a pretty good review for it.

I was reading through the review in Tirerack and it seems to me their review doesn't really yield a very well-rounded tire...

Anyone tried the Yokohama S.drive?

Dunlop sport maxx and direzza sports are great tires for much less than similarly performing brands

Went with General, great deal but performance was average and road noise is loud! I want to try Falken 452s next.

Kumho Ecsta SPT

I loved these on my last car. Not the sportiest tire, but very sticky and most importantly for me, quiet and comfortable for a daily driver. They served me well in the dry and in heavy rain. I would buy these again.
