E92 being broken into for fun... seriously annoying

So. Purchased my 2007 e92 around 4 years ago.

One time I came back to my car and thought it was odd the glove box was open and the pocket next to the steering column was open. I thought nothing of it.

Then it happened again but this time I had an iPod in the glove box which was taken. Turns out it's someone getting in but not actually damaging or breaking anything.

Went to BMW after hearing there was a software patch for the key codes but today, again someone has been in my car. Nobody has a spare key and it's always right outside my house so I SHOULD hear the alarm with ease if it had gone off.

Can someone help me as to how to fix this or can this car just be kept into as and when people wish?

Really f*cked off about this now.

That's crazy, let us know what's going on, do you have comfort access? Do you usually press the fob to unlock, or the handle? I dunno the ins/outs, but I get the feeling they are two different systems.....and pressing the fob to lock/unlock is the old way, and spoofable?

Time to invest in some cameras.

Also might want to think about investing in a small camera to put in the interior of the car... See if you can find a spy shop to acquire that type of equipment.

I know I'm being really cheeky and will be looking around online once I get home but can you guys recommend me any cameras?

Btw I have the standard fob which I lock/unlock with.

please update us on this, Im extremely curious...and concerned...

Hope it turns out okay...you could put it on file at the local police station, too...even though nothing has been damaged, putting it on report may help you down the road if you can identify the culprit.the more documentation you have the better

How will I check the alarm? I mean the red light flashes in the rear view mirror?

Coincidentally, I ran across some youtube videos yesterday, on thieves either cloning FOBs or a two person crew using a receiver and transmitter to extend the range of your FOB.

An example

Well, no one really breaks into cars "for fun". Thieves often just want to get in and out of your car as fast and quietly as possible and are usually looking for cash. I'm willing to bet you forgot to lock your car those two times. It has happened to me before. But yeah, if you're really curious, set up a cheap wireless hidden camera on your car.

I thought they have camera's on the streets in
a lot places in England any chance they have the
footage. I have a cam overlooking my driveway myself.
Do you have a car alarm?
Its and option you know.
You should be able to activate and hear it.
Are they bypassing it if its factory?
You might want to invest in a non factory
alarm. Not as likely to get hacked.

Wow that's crazy and kind of scary that someone randomly has gotten into your vehicle a couple of times. Nothing is worse than an invasion of privacy, and especially when you can't stop it.

If I were you I'd invest in some cameras and set up the thief. maybe leave a dollar bill out, lol jk

i'd even get those fake rock hidden cameras (ones that look like actual rocks) and put one facing the car lol
