The current status of my BMW is on 1200 "Scheduled for production" with the estimated delivery will be around the 24th week in June.

The estimated delivery is from 10th-18 in June.

WEEK 17 Order was placed 25th April

WEEK 19 Order Update 11th May: Our system is currently saying week 35, 27th Aug - 2nd Sep. Delivery September

WEEK 19 Order update 2 11th May: '1200 scheduled for production'

Production will commence on 28th of May and you should be driving in your new 5 series by the end of June. You must be excited!

19th of June earliest, but the retailer may delay as they may have their own final checks to do before handing it over to you.

Lets see what happens between now and then

WEEK 20 Order update 15th May 2017 : Car status 5055 confirmed by production control dates remain pro wk 22 expected wk 25 falling between June 19, 2017 June 25, 2017 ( From Dealer)

For me the Paintshop complete code was 5260 - not a typo they gave it to me two separate times.

Mate no need for thanks, lots of others have helped me on here and if i can help its great.

Probably the lowest spec car on this forum! 520d SE with a couple of Minor options Still it's the best car I've ever driven never mind owned!

Hey mate so what, doesn't matter if you buy the highest spec or the lowest spec its what you want. Every one on this forum seems pretty down to earth and not a show off.

My 530i is basic spec with adding the black rims, gesture control and the privacy windows at the back. Apart from that i felt the 530i had everything else i was happy with

Test drove a 3 series and the 5 series, could have gone with a higher spec 3 but I felt the interior of the 5 was in a different league and couldn't resist!

The base 5 series is pretty loaded up already. Not 5 years ago you'd have to pay for the navigation upgrades etc. You'll not be disappointed and with software upgrades and add ons you could even add things in future too.

Another couple of codes my car has been through a bit more detailed:

9605 Pre EU port of exit.
9620 At sea.

My dealer said the one after pre eu port of exit is 'port of exit'

Hehe. Would be great. But no it's gonna be Southampton or some other place part way up the coast. If it stops at Southampton but not dropping there then obviously will take longer.

Can't do much except check the genius chat every day. TBH though shouldn't take more than a day or two at sea.

Yeah sometimes they have a stock pile at Grimsby i heard so its closer than Southampton.

Thats where the Mrs 1 series came from so would be good if it ends up there

The current status of your 530i is "1100 Scheduled"

Our system is currently saying week 35, 27th Aug - 2nd Sep.

BMW have said due to an event but they are trying to find out and will let me know today or tomorrow. Could be parts could be anything

They have got in touch with the plant again to see whats going on

10th May status 1200
11th May status 1100 again

Sounds like they were just sorting the system out. Because it's all hooked up it probably causes havoc with the predictive side of the status. Genius Dan only tell you what's happening on screen.

Yeah mate they said they had an event yesterday and that would have changed it. I was like what does that mean, a change in the model or something. He said something but i cant remember but wasnt fussed as long as the date changes.

He said that they would have picked it up on friday when they do their checks. So see what they tell me tomorrow and the genius says.

Have you or anyone heard of these events happening?

It's a pretty nice system that gives such granular updates. Factories have much complexity so some changes that screw with the predictions of when a build will finish must happen.

I'm waiting for the day when they can let you see a live stream of the cctv footage of your car going through production.

Erm I don't have any videos. But yeah I've searched a few times and only fined f10s or other cars. No production vids yet of g30s....
