Farking Offsite Airport Parking
I've used the same offsite Airport car park 3 times in the last 12 months.
No choice but to fly from Gatwick on all 3 overseas trips. When the car was only two weeks old we parked up there, came back an the was a tiny chip on the edge of the drivers door, just got back home this weekend, checked the car over in the collection point, the rear NS wheel arch has been dinged, obviously some twerp has opened another car door onto the rear of the car, theres a tiny chip and an annoying dent in the top of the crease. Bloody livid, nothing showed up on the dash cam footage. They are minor chips but I know they are there, decided it wasn't worth the agro of complaining or claiming as Excess may be greater. Why cant these bloody people be more careful. I did read while I was away that some valet parking companies at airports just picked up cars and dropped them off in other car parks with the owners returning after the trips to find their cars with several parking tickets on the windscreens, so it could have been worse.

I'd pay for a taxi, wouldn't leave my car in any car park for a log period. We have 3 dings on our 6 month old qashqai purely from the retards who can't spell their own name in Tesco car parks!

Always use Gatwick on site park and ride, never had any issues with any car I've left there, probably use it twice a year no issues, you park it yourself and take your keys with you, which I prefer, so far so good.
No doubt this year having left this post I will come back to a keyed car with dents all down the side... |

Airports and supermarkets are the worst as people have luggage, kids and trollies!
It irks the wife but I still park in the furthest reaches of any car park im in, still get some numpty parking next to you though for no apparent reason. |

The damage is slight, but damage is damage.

I always do a one way rental and leave the car at home.
Costs about £90 or so as I tend to upgrade saves on worries and adds to the holiday feel a day extra each side.
