Slip Ons similar to OEM exhaust mod

Hey whats up fellas,

I'm thinking about going to the shop this weekend and get that OEM exhaust mod done (guy is charging me $300). I've looked around and the Megan Racing exhaust sounds pretty nice and is $600. I'm looking for that raspy note that the OEM exhaust mod resonates and my budget is $1000. I heard even HFC's wont even pass smog so I'm gonna ask him if he's willing to switch my pipes if I end up with HFC's.

For now, I'm focusing on slip-on exhaust systems. What can still provide that race-sounding, raspy note on stock cats?

Do PE mode leaving out all the fiberglass and replace all perforated pipes should get you there
