Detailing Services in Kent
Afternoon all - first post of a long time lurker.
Took delivery of an EB 340i (16th BMW and best so far) late last year, dealer threw in a paint protection as part of the deal but unfortunately the prep was poor and the swirls are driving me mad. I'm looking for a mobile detailing service to correct the paint and apply Gtechniq CS etc , I've had one quote of £1,700 which seems a tad steep can anyone recommend someone they have used. The car is garaged so can be put away to allow curing etc. Thanks for your help. |

KDS in Gillingham is the standout choice for detailing in Kent. They've done some great work on a forum member or two's cars.
Don't think they're mobile though so sorry if that is of no help at all! |

They charge top dollar but deliver a top quality service so I understand.
Personally, I would not go to them. I don't value perfection in my paintwork sufficiently over what I could get from a cheaper outfit. Let me know if you find someone decent. I'm in west Kent and my car could use some light scratch removal tlc! |

Kelly at KDS. Work is outstanding and prices are reasonable.
£1700 would be the ball park figure including VAT for a full correction detail, CS Black Serum, Exo v3, wheel armour inside and out. It probably equates to 40 hours of work. Have a look here: http://gtechniq.com/service/ If you took delivery of it late last year I doubt you'd need a full correction unless you have factory orange peel or took your car to an el cheapo car wash. If you have light swirls considering it is new paint then a single stage polish will do you. That would probably bring the price down a fair bit. Say £800 excluding VAT. About 12 hours of work. If the swirls are moderate then an enhancement detail is in order. If you go with a GTechniq approved detailer then you are protected should anything go wrong during the application process. If you want to save money... then you can apply CSL and Exo v3 yourself. It is dead easy to do. CSL should see you at least 5 years if maintained properly. CS Black gets you to the 7 year mark. I have one coat of CSL and two coats of Exo v3, one year on still going strong. Like I applied it yesterday. Wax is not necessary over the Exo. Last edited by Soul_Glo; 04-30-2017 at 02:11 PM.. |

KDS all the way IMO. They've done three of my cars and the results are phenomenal. Have a look at their facebook page for examples of their work: https://www.facebook.com/KDSKeltec

It's not Kent but Adam at Refined Details in Aylesbury did an amazing job on mine.
Wash, clay, stage 1 correction then Kenolon Ceramic coating on bodywork, wheels, calipers and zorts tips for £500. |
