Do you use your garage for its intended purpose?
I do, my car goes in there every night without fail, I reckon I'm in the minority, most people I know use there's for storing crap or change them to an extra room.
Mine is detached from the house so no chance of changing it to an extra room. |

Me too. It's part if the house and my Opel Manta is parked in there. Mrs has suggested getting rid of it and changing it into another living room. Just remind her the car was here before she was.

I have a 2 car garage with 2 cars in it, daily. I have a third car on the drive! Been on a kick to organise it. Course living in the states now I have a larger house than those in Surrey where I grew up... I would struggle to fit any of our cars in my mums garage!
My sister has a 14 year old in her garage... yep converted!

On the rooms side of things, last summer while looking for a new house we saw a couple that had converted garages, looked really good as both were converted in to studio flats with bit of games room etc. Alternatively, would make a decent bar, with top end of garage with the actual bar, down the sides game stuff n odd table or crash out zone |

Yes it has motorbikes in it & all the tools required, will be full of VW beetle parts once the project arrives.

Kind of.
It's a Double garage but a new build double so on the small side. However, one car kept on one side and then bikes, tools, golf clubs, winter tyres, track tyres kept on the other side. Garden stuff is all in a shed, so really nothing in there that shouldn't be there. When funds allow I will convert the two doors in to one double width single door so I can park one car in the middle and be able to move around it better.

Double garage, mine goes in every day; despite the winter wheels, tools cleaning stuff etc I've managed to keep it organised with enough space for the GF to park her car in there too but she's happy parking on the drive.

Mine is full off shit! And is a little tight to get too. Because our garage is past the house, i have to reverse past the front door between a fence and our lovely fake trees (don't ask) it's just too tight to do at night I wouldn't want to risk it, so it stay on the drive with the camera pointing at it!
I need to clean and organise my garage next weekend when I have some time off! If it has easier access it would be in for sure! |

I park my car in the garage most nights and alternate between driving and catching the train to work so it stays in there for more than a week sometimes.

Its where the boiler, tumble dryer, and washing machine live. Plus anything the mrs decides does not belong in the house, all of building materials and tools as been doing the house up since we moved in 3 years ago.
Car on drive and on road in front of house, didn't realise garages were for cars!? lol |

The former owner of our place thankfully built some proper size garages - we could fit three Maybachs, but only have 2 normal size cars and a lot of junk in the extra garage. I think years of living in London previously have made me want to park the cars in the garage. Even though this very rural area is pretty safe, I just feel more relaxed to know that the cars are locked away.
