Rear camera w/o navigation?

I'm trying to figure out if the rear parking camera works w/o navigation on an M240i, as it *is* possible to configure one online. Does anyone know?

It does on my M235i. I don't know why they would change it to not work for the M240i.

Drivers Asst. Pkg. comes with front & rear park sensors and a backup camera. Navigation is not required.

I have navigation, but have had several 228 loaners with rear camera and no navigation. The only real drawback to that is the image is very small since the non-navigation screen is smaller plus the BMW rear camera doesn't even fill up the entire screen so a bit hard to see small stuff behind you. I added the BimmerTech rear camera (with factory Nav.) and it fills the entire screen, so the image is very legible and much easier to see smaller stuff behind you. But, yes, it works with the configuration you describe I believe.

Costs $950 I believe, crazy overpriced but sadly essential. You can aftermarket it for cheaper but the install involves pulling off almost every panel inside your car which is no bueno.

BMW nav is hot garbage, carplay sucks and you can replace the tiny screen with an OEM large one or a touchscreen for far less than the nav package.
