320d 177hk rica stage 1 tuning worth it?

Hello!

I bought a 320d xdrive with the 177hk engine a couple of weeks ago. It's from 2009 (production date 31st march 2009) and has around 164k km on it (~102k miles). From what I can see it has been serviced regularly and been taken well care of. Interior and exterior is really nice for such an "old" car. Haven't noticed any weird sounds from the timing chain either.

My buddy (who owns an E92 M3) told me I could do a stage 1 tune and get ~210hk and 420Nm instead of the original 177hk and 350Nm. The shop that does the tuning is www.motornord.se and they seem like they know what they're doing. It's a Rica Stage 1 and the cost is ~€520.

However, I wonder how this impacts the longevity and lifespan of the engine. More horsepower and more torque surely leads to more wear, am I right? I'm not the guy who goes streetracing every day, I use the car to drive to and from work, the grocery store, and occasionally longer trips throughout the country.
