Mine are in the box awaiting push fix rivets. I looked for the 12 off plastic bolts holding on the skirt but with the car in the air it seemed easier to fit in the car.

If you've got a decent jack it's easy enough to fit them on the car.

Fitted mine with hydraulic jack, if you have a reasonable sized battery drill all will be fine. Had to jack front then rear to drill all holes.

Pull skirts off, fit blades and refit skirts. 1/2 hour each side.

I will be fitting these shortly, I did wonder if removing the skirts would be easier as I don't have a jack and would need an stubby angle drill which I don't have either. Does anyone have instructions for removing the side skirts please?

There are about 8 plastic bolts on the underside of the skirt, you can see them if you look under the car. Remove those then pull the skirt towards you starting at the back and working towards the front of the car

side blades fitted !

i had a spare hour today so i thought i wpuld have a look at fitting the side blades.
i decided to take them off to fit so i wasnt fighti g gravity and lying on my back in the drizzel.

taking the sill off took all of 5 mins ! 10 plastick screws and it just pulls off starting from the back of the car.
i spent anothe 10 mins cleaning the sill then wiped it with isopropyl then checked the fit and stuck them on. 17 6mm holes later and job done !
putting them back on takes anthe 5 mins per side.
excuse the dirty car !!

Thanks for the tip about removing the side sills, definitely an easier way to do it with gravity working for you rather than against you, especially if your fitting these single handed. Nice straightforward job, I ordered push fit rivets but ended up using the supplied BMW ones, they will need drilled out if I ever want to remove the sills in the future but they give a nice firm hold as they clamp the pieces together although I'm sure the push fit ones would of held the blades fine.

When fitting them with side skirt removed would probably be easier to fit side decals also I bet

yes i fitted the decals with the sill still on the car . if i was to do it again i would definitely take the sills off first its so easy to do.
and the dcal has to be fitted befor the blade as it over laps.

Do these just screw into the side skirt?

You need to drill seventeen 6mm holes the length of the blades and fit with rivets, there are also eleven self tapping screws to fit.

Did mine last night on the car, although gravity wasn't helping I found it easy enough on the car. Saw a few guides and read the bmw one but I have no idea why they made such a meal of it!

Clean sills
Drill out blades 6 and 3mm holes
Offer up to car and align by pulling tight
Drill a central hole and pin
Drill a few more holes to align and pin
Drill all remaining holes
Take off blade
Remove tape at one edge
Offer back up and pin
Pull red tape and finish off push fit rivets.
Screw in self tapers to inner face

Repeat for other side.

Purchased some used blades , I have push fit riverts ready but I don't have the self tapping screws.

Any details on these, Size wise would these be ok or would I need the 5mm diva going from having to drill pre 3mm holes , washers used also ?

Thanks
