Can you comfortably exist without your phone?

Give me an iphone7 and a Nokia battery and I reckon I could take over the world

Seriously though mine has become as much a part of my everyday life as my children are.

How much do rely on yours?

Just spent 2 weeks overseas with data off and dubious wifi. Found it quite refreshing to not have phone (or IPad) to pick up every 5 minutes.

Resorted to beer instead!

I find life so tranquil when the battery on my phone dies and I don't have a charger nearby.

I'd love to live without my phone for work purposes, I'm old enough to remember that without mobile phones business still got done and plenty of it.

It's the same with email, thousands of worthless emails sent, I have some staff that think it's their job to send emails it drives me potty.

"have you done X and Y?" "well I've sent an email" FFS!

Yep email use at times is pathetic.

People sitting 20 feet from each other email to ask questions or stuff.

I now just reply with 'see me at x time to discuss' etc.

Then you get the blanket ones with line 10 people in the To line, then no clear action, so nothing actually gets done - fuckwits.

Rant over lol.

Depends on the situation. At home, in work, i.e. normal life : no. Definitely not.

I took a year off to backpack around the world about 15 years ago and lived very happily off grid; just occasional Internet cafes. That was before the rise of the smart phone though.

Yes quite easily. A couple of months back i got totally fed up with work emails arriving 24x7 so ditched my iphone7 in favour of a Sony Ericsson K750i, went cold turkey on social media etc and i feel much better for it. Now I have started using the iPhone again since but have been freed from picking it up every 10 minutes

Only bought my first smart phone a year ago. I find I look a crap on it because I can, rather than need to. I like to have a phone on me. but as for the other functions. not that bothered. Ok if I'm honest i found being able to switch my Nest thermostat on last winter useful. but I managed without doing for many years.
