Evo magazine track evenings.

Hi guys. Is anybody up for an Evo track evening. It was pretty decent last year and there are usually a few demo cars to drive.

Still the s2k mate.. I cancelled the Rs in the end... Spent a couple of grand on the Honda to keep me interested.... Be keen to go out with you in the boxster to see how much more refined it is..

Watsey.... I will probably do the Sept one aswell so left me know if you book it.

Change of plan - just checked with my 'social manager', and we're on holiday early September but 7th July is fine.

I'm booked for the 7th

What did you do to it?

I've been busy sorting out the Boxster for the track...

It wasn't too far off needing the 60k major service so just had it done so that I can put on a deep sump kit, helps to ensure that the oil supply is good on track, even if I buy sticky tyres!

Also have it booked in for a suspension overhaul - Eibach springs and Bilstein B8 dampers. All the other bits have been done already, so it should be in fine fettle.

I am very tempted.

My M5 has been SORN for a few years.

Ill service it and slap new tyres on it, but do the cars have to be insured amd taxed?
If not I might just be up for this and will get it towed there and back.

All that for £2k?!

That should make it very handy on track!

I hummed and hawed over coilovers for weeks, but as I have PASM suspension to try and keep that functionality.

What tyres have you gone for?

I bought new wheels so have a spare set with MPSS on them which I'll use for the track but thinking I will go for Pilot cups when they get worn out.

I wast so thrilled with the 135 on track, the 335 was more stable - and mine to thrash - and I've done the X5 now.

I'm betting GT have the Golf still. Would be interesting to find out what else...

Sounds like you need to get modifying with the M135i!

Would the good lady notice if you fitted coilovers?!
