British Lions

Team announcement at 12 (For those interested in rugby)

I am far from a fan of Gatland's and feel this maybe more of the Welsh Lions than British Lions!

Calling up Roberts over Joseph is a bad bad mistake, also potentially no Launchbury??

He's such a tool. Will be eagerly awaiting the team release!

My thoughts exactly. Plus, a guy who captains his side to back-to-back 6 nations wins is only 50/50?

Well it's understandable when Wales had such a great 6 Nations.

Oh wait.

They didn't

Gatland is digging his own grave with his selection here.

I can just about see why he doesn't want to take Hartley, but Launchbury should be going and JJ.

His obsession with the Welsh players is frightening especially when you factor in the decline of their Pro12 sides and their poor 6 Nations. Conversely, his lack of faith in the Scots is terrible.

Seymour, Maitland, J Gray, Hamish Watson and to a lesser extent Finn Russell should be in with a shout, but Gatland is ignoring them on favour of his one-dimensional sides

And don't get me started on Warburton as captain (the photo has already been leaked online)

Exactly this!

Just read Warbs as skipper now, he used to be 2nd team and on the bench to my brother, got 1 good season and that's taken him to this success. He is a great player don't get me wrong, however her would certainly not be a captain for me.

It's crazy his love, nobody else would get away with it, I expect to see Hogg at 15, but it won't happen.

As you said he's going with his favorable little click!

So so poor! 30 minutes until he proves us all right!

Backs: Dan Biggar, Elliot Daly, Jonathan Davies, Owen Farrell, Lee Halfpenny, Robbie Henshaw, Stuart Hogg, Jonathan Joseph, Conor Murray, George North, Jack Nowell, Jared Payne, Jonathan Sexton, Tommy Seymour, Ben T’eo, Anthony Watson, Rhys Webb, Liam Williams, Ben Youngs

Surprised to see Daly in there, as much as I can see why, he's still quite fresh, but he can shine. I rate him persoanlly and think one day he will be a world class player. Just hope he's ready, or maybe he is and this is his time. He can play FB too, and better than HP and Payne! Nowell....interesting! If there was no Roberts as your big man it had to be T'eo. Nice to see Hogg, just hope he ahs a proper shot! JJ nwill shine I can feel it.

Actually overall slightly better then expected!

Disappointing not to see Launchbury in the squad. I thought he had a strong Six Nations - he makes the hard yards.

North will end up back home soon enough nursing a sore head. Biggar is miles off test form, let alone mid-week back-up

Dan Cole too. He's been rotten, Glasgow showed him up twice this year. AWJ and Henderson are shaky pegs in my eyes along with Marler and Sinckler

I'm really trying to view this through spectacles that aren't English tinted but too many Welsh players from a very poor side in this squad. Irish and Scots fans should be more annoyed.

They should be to be fair, Although stats of player selections are on England's side over Wales, when they are second by a few players...after finishing 4th in the latest tournament, it just doesn't make sense.

I am a fan of Wasps latest tweet!

Trust me - us Scots are very annoyed given the circumstances

Glasgow have been performing well in the Pro12, Scotland are finally playing to their potential and Gatland has picked his chums

Still, it means we'll have a full squad to pick from for our summer tour

Wales are already smarting from one Scottish defeat this year. Maybe explains Gatland's indifference to the Scots boys
