Msport brakes
Hi all,
Not sure what they are officially called, but the 'covers' that go over the hubs.. The parts that you don't get on lesser models I believe. Anyway, whatever they're called - has anyone had theirs go a bit 'dull' almost like they're in need of a good scrub up? And if so, what's best to use on these? Cheers Garry 👍 |

Yes the disc hats all go like that, aluminium doesn't rust but it does corrode. No cleaners or metal polish will work so you'd need to try a wire brush or emery cloth and some elbow grease.

I've got the composite discs on my 5-series.
When I swap wheel sets, I use a wire brush to get the worst off. Then use T-cut on a scouring pad to give a degree of polish and shine to the alloy hat. Not a perfect solution, but improves the look between wheel changes. |
