MPSS Fitment

Hey everyone! I ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports for my car this year. I ordered the factory size for my 18's. 225/45 front 255/40 rear. The fronts seem fine but the rears dont have the same side profile as the factory contentinantals. Is this normal?

Front - Sidewall leaning into the car

That's normal. 225/45/18 is 1/2" stretch on 18x8" front rims and 255/40/18 is 1/2" bulge on 18x8.5" rear rims.

Rear rubber is 30 mm wider, and the rear rim is only .5 inch wider.

3 cm = 1.2 inches

I understand the disparity on the wheel size. However the rear Contis looked more like my photo of the front MPSS despite the rear conti and michelin being the same size.

You ordered the Generic MPSS and not the MPSS BMW ⭐️ Version.

Thus your rear tread is now .4" wider than the Contis.

Ordered the star version. The tires even have the "star" on them.

See tread width. Should only be wider really if Generic.
