Bring You Own MPPSK
Hey guys and gals, how much does the dealer charge to install an MPPSK if you BYO? I see it on getbmwparts.com for $2785 and $270 additional for carbon exhaust tip. What's the best price you've found online? This includes shipping, maybe I could ask if it be shipped to the dealer or will this fit in the trunk or back seat of an F30? I was also thinking I could have the dealer pick it up in their courtesy X5 shuttle and I'd drive the car over.

Probably best to ask the dealer. Here is my deal but I bought the kit from the dealer, MPPSK kit was $2399.60, CF tips were $203.20 each. Labor to install the exhaust was $187.85 and programing was $149.95 so total was $3143.80. Dealer add's a shop supply/enviromental fee of $38.85, State sales tax is $204.14, my out the door cost $3386.79

The exhaust will easily fit in the trunk of the car. I brought mine home that way. I installed the exhaust myself. I was quoted a couple hundred to have it installed at my local muffler shop. I'm used to doing stuff myself and found it was a pretty easy and fast install given I had the right tools. I was done within an hour or so.
The MPPK is also a small box. I've been thinking about getting that myself. If I do, I will install the intake myself and have the dealer do the programming. Bob Smith BMW quoted me $170 for the programming time. I bought my exhaust from BMW of Chattanooga Tn. They have it for $789 plus shipping. I bought the carbon fiber tips from my local dealer on my wholesale account. I can't disclose that pricing as it wouldn't be appropriate. If you decide to get the muffler and need some help with the install, I am in Simi Valley. Feel free to PM me. Here is the listing for the exhaust at that price. You won't find a better price on the exhaust itself. http://www.ebay.com/itm/282243344552 |

Yeah the getbmwparts site has the older one as well, that one is only $900 bucks so maybe that's why it's cheaper.

My dealer charged me $259 labor to install the MPPK on my 335i and included the install of the air box. Can't complain though as I did not buy MPPK from that dealer and got a loaner.
