Blackvue Dashcam

After being cut up, again this week I need to get a Dash Cam. I like the look of the Blackvue and the sleek design that means it will fit behind the mirror.

However, if I opt for the Two Channel Camera is the picture still ok with the rear camera and the privacy glass through the back window?

Yep it's fine. Just bump the contrast. I'll try and get one off mine at post it at some point over weekend.

Do you fellas have it hard wired?

If so who fitted it? I'd rather have it professionally installed.

I found the picture on the rear cam useless with privacy glass and the cam interrupted the DAB. The DAB would cut out at the at the same point in the journey almost to the meter.

Good front cam tho. I have mine hard wired. Search to find out how there are plenty threads.

I've been backwards and forwards on getting a DR650S for a while.

I will probably do this into the rear view mirror (but without the need for the 5v converter as its 12v-24v) ...http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=974007

Looks a piece of cake to do.

I had similar concerns but recently opted for a Qvia 790 fitted by TTW in Nottingham. Service and advice was first class and they spent a lot of time testing to ensure DAB works fine. The kit happens to be great too with a good app and motion sensors for parking.

Garage List
Got a BlackVue frint and rear drg 650 twin. Pic quality is decent enough through privacy glass. Mine was fitted professionally by a self employed auto electrician - pm if you want his details - bit cheaper to go direct.

Just run the cables down the passenger side carpets and you won't have dab issues. You can get dab falling off reception simply because the signal is shite.
