BMW Insured Warranty - discounts?

I read on this board a couple of months ago that someone managed to negotiate down the price of a BMW warranty quote by calling them. I can't remember who wrote that, but I am in the process of looking at extending the warranty so it would be useful to know more, and whether they will discount the monthly price?

Secondly my car is approaching 3 years old, and my mileage having slowed down recently, will be on about 41k miles at the 3 year point. I expect to cover about 12k next year and to hang on to the car for another 3-4 years, at a guess. I know about switching to monthly before if hits 60k miles, but I wonder if the monthly price now at 3 years /41k miles is going to be cheaper than the monthly price at 4 years / 53k miles? If so I might be better to go monthly now, given that it sets the price for the next 4 years.

For those who are interested, my quote is £610 annual, £65 monthly comprehensive with no excess. And £428 annual, £47 monthly comprehensive with £100 excess.

I got a call from them after my warranty expired and it was cheaper than online. Got mine fully comp excluding emergency services with £100 excess for £427

£427 was the same as my quote with £100 excess, and actually seems quite a good price. How much cheaper was it via the phone call?

I can't remember exactly but online I wasn't shown an option for £100 excess and it was more than £500 for the £200 excess option.
Think it's a reasonable balance having the excess at £100.
