New forum member

HI,

I know this has been treated many times, so sorry if this was answered before. To restore to factory setting it is needed to go to each ECU and VO code them. But what happen if you have changed a new CAFD file at some ECU? Does the VO code also restore the original CAFDs? Thanks

PS: I am new at this forum and not a fluent english speaker. Thanks for your comprehension and understanding.

You only have to VO code the modified ECU's.
Not sure what you mean by changed new CAFD file.

Almaretto, thanks for your answer

When I was reading how to VO code to restore to factory settings, I wrongly understood that I had to :

Read FA, Activate FA, Read SVT, left click on ECU, select CAF for SWE, select CAFD from the latest I Level list and then Code. ( I previously read the integration level from the VCM tab and used this value)

I was suspecting though I have injected a CAFD that worked perfectly, ie: the car had no issues and run ok, it was not the original / factory set CAFD.

Yesterday I did the VO procedure mentioned at this forum and result was ok: No issues either. It is my understanding that now I have the factory setting CAFD and of course, all the modificactions done on each ECU were restored to original values.

The reason of this is I have to vist the dealer for normal maintanence service and I donīt want they see nothing that can void guarantee.

Thanks for your help once again

"Detect CAF for SWE" is injection process used when ECU is either missing CAF or has corrupted ECU.

Assuming you did not write FA changes to VCM, then VO procedure:
  1. Connect
  2. Read & Activate FA (VO)
  3. Read SVT (VCM)
  4. Right-Click ECU (itself ≠ CAFD below)
  5. Select CODE

I have not done any modificactions to FA and followed the procedure mentioned at your post. So I assume I have factory settings now.

Thanks again

Yes, though should be easy enough to test. Did you lose any of your previously FDL coded features?
