Sabine is awesome, however knows the Nurburgring like the back of her hand.

Not sure about the Golf though, no rear seats etc for a saving of a paltry 30kg.

Exactly put someone else in the golf and her in one of the cars she overtook i.e. Porsche 911 turbo they wouldn't have a clue where she went

Golf bit was good tonight but a lot of the rest was pretty tedious. They really needed to drop the celebrity bit but instead have extended it.

I agree, celebrity bit is shit and worst part of the show for me.

That was a good role for Sabine - doing what she does best and then buggering off, before we have to listen to her.

Matt LeBlanc continues to be pretty good. Chris Harris wasn't bad this time and even Rory was OK. Somebody has to kill that celebrity part - it is insanely dull and far too long.

A watchable show

Definitely good show for me, apart from, as others have said, the celebrity bit, which is terrible.

Another great episode!

They should do the car news stuff before bringing the celebrity on though.

Chris Harris Bond Villain was comedy genius for me, not the scripting...just the moment the camera pans to him in the Merc ROFL.

Not sure MLB is doing it for me, much too wooden! The show doesn't grab the family in the way Clarkson etc do, previously my wife and daughter would also have enjoyed the show but last night it was just me and car mad son although even the both of us were loosing interest at stages.

I liked it its starting to work and certainly a step up from where it was with Chris Evans. I think MLB will grow into it and improve. i found last night entertaining, putting a volvo through a muck spreader . I had grown a bit tired of the Clarkson format TBH. I find the new version a bit more serious but with some good humour thrown in.

MLB might not be so bad if he said Engine not motor, manual gearbox not stick shift etc. Its a British program, but no doubt because of its wider audience

It might also have something to do with his primary affliction of being an American...

I may be on my own here, but I think the new format is great. Yes, celeb bit too long and could be tweaked but the three of them get on well and the chemistry will come in time.

Frankly, I thought the new GT was poor, some decent segments but on the whole I think GT's efforts to mock the old TG format backfired.

After 2 episodes, TG was far more watchable and enjoyable than GT..IMHO of course!

This weeks instalment was better.

I don't know why they didn't leave the Stig with teaching the celebs the lap, probably something to do with CH ego? And having had quite a bit of driving instruction from pro drivers, I would say his technique looks and sounds very poor. His getting cross thing doesn't do him any favours either......stick to the driving Chris, your own driving.

MLB is wooden, and English humour is a bit lost on him. He's ok on the show, but I do think they need a witty leader....... someone like Jeremy Clarkson about 20 years ago

I can't help but wonder whether MLB is actually doing all of the driving for his parts..... I'm not convinced he does anything other than basic straight line stuff, then they use someone else for the the drifting shots etc... :

Hammond did also not do any drifting as revealed on GT. He only learnt how to drift shown on the last GT episode IIRC in that M4.

Hmm yes....but the teaching bits....need someone to speak. The Stig pointing and gesticulating would be funny for an episode but wouldn't really work I guess?
