What the bull****?? Bimmian LED interior lights.
So i bought the Bimmian High-power LED interior bulbs from bimmian.com and the bulbs are total crap.
The bulbs work sometimes, sometimes they don't work. I just don't get it.. I have tried everything, turning the bulbs around, uninstalling - reinstalling.. etc. The funny thing is, sometimes one half will work and another half won't.. and 5 mins later, they will switch up. Sometimes the bulbs in my visors and footwells will work but the dome lights won't work, go down the road and the dome lights will work but the map lights will stop and vice versa. Never once have they all worked at the same time. What to do?

I'd check the bulb springs.

Try and return it. Bimmian products have always been crap. Their original version of for the interior bulbs (none LED) were known to melt and people had to pay hundreds to buy new new housings.

Please be assured, Bimmian products are not bad products.. Sometimes LEDs are made larger or smaller, meaning you might have to bend/tilt the brackets that hold the LEDs a little bit. Do this so the LEDs sit better and ensures that their connection is secure. And if the bulbs just don't work, trying flipping them around.

I purchased High-power LED interior bulbs bulbs from Jlevi and they turned out to be from Bimmian.
I did not have the same problem with the lamps going on and off but I did not have them installed long enough to tell.... The 'peanut' bulbs were dimmer than the original peanut incandescent bulbs. The others were brighter but overall the kit was not worth the headache of installation. In the end I removed the bulbs. I will return them along with the Predator Xenix H8 bulbs I bought from Jlevi.

Guys,
I had a chance to speak with Bimmian about this and they are aware of some fitment issues in certain models. For anyone with fitment problems, they are replacing the affected bulbs with updated versions that do not have the lip to block them from sliding through the back of the bulb holder. This will be done free of charge and at no cost to the purchaser. The appropriate replacement bulbs will be sent automatically to the customer with a pre-paid envelope to send the old ones back in exchange. These bulbs are currently being manufactured by Bimmian and will be available in about 3 weeks. As for the flickering problem, they have not encountered this in their new LED applications so this seems to be an isolated incident. If there are problems with your bulbs, please do contact your vendor as Bimmian stands behind the integrity and functionality of their products 100%. We have carried Bimmian interior kits for well over a year now and are fully confident in the quality of their pieces. It is true, that the first non-LED kits offered by Bimmian well over 3 years ago did have overheating issues. This was quickly resolved with new kits and housings for customers as well as a complete redesign of the kit. In the 3 years of the new design for both led and non-LED kits, these kits have proven to be extremely reliable and do not overheat. Both Jlevi SW and Bimmian fully back the interior kits so should you have any issues, which I am confident you won't, it will be covered- that is a guarantee. Bimmian makes a commitment to bringing quality aftermarket upgrades and we are more than proud to be one of the top retailers for their full lineup. |

I still think it's just a bulb spring or lighter fluid issue.

I'm having the exact same problem with these bulbs. I was keeping it secret, but it looks like the cat is out of the bag. We are pretty much the guinea pig for this product. Anyways they were supposed to send me replacements and I still haven't received them. Wow starting to regret buying this product.

I don't think its the fitment.. it has to do with Low power and low resistance of the LED.. though my experiment.. Only few that will work... and so far.. I have not find anything that work wiht Map light... I have nail down the all teh interior light that will lite up when the door is open...
E92 - Search for LED with thread that start by me. Meaning... 2 center one... 2 under dash, 2 under door.. 2 in the back.... If you don't get it right.. they sometime lite up.. sometime don't .. especially when teh engine is on..... only few will work..
