Stock Welded Open Diff

Anybody willing to donate a stock welded open differential? I am talking to some shops and looking into possibly fabricating a bolt on 3.08 crown gear for the 6MT cars. I will paypal you the shipping cost. I would use my own but I can't afford to be without the car for so long.

Thanks in advance!

It doesn't work that way, the crown gear and pinion gear are a set, you can't change one without the other.

See I have heard that but the only logical explanation to me is that it is because of wear patterns, they are all made to the same spec though. If you replaced just the crown gear without the pinion there will be a break in period just like from the factory.

Yes and know. First off you'll never make a new crown gear exactly the same spec as the original. Second as you said there are wear in patterns that will further wear both gears. Mainly though the first is your big problem AFAIK.
