245/40r18 on 12 328I Xdrive lowered?

I just ordered H&R Sport coil springs and new 18" Alzor Wheels. Question is has anyone with an Xdrive coupe ran a square set up with 245/40r18 lowered on those springs and with any spacers? the OD of that size is 25.7" while the stock is 25.1" So about a hair over 1/2" taller than stock. Just curious if anyone is running that size lowered at all. TIA for any advice.

They are 18x8 with +35 offset square set up. I was only thinking of installing the 245/40r18 because one of my tire suppliers had a discontinued tire for cheap, but they only had 2 at their local warehouse and I couldn't get the same price on the other two they would have to transfer in. I think I am going to go with a 235/40r18 as that size is only a little taller than the stock od so it wont throw off the speedometer too much. I know the recommended square set up for 18" wheels is 225/40r18 but just want something a little wider. The 235's are only 3/10" taller that the stock 225/45r17 that is on the car now.

Yeh should be plenty safe to go with. Eventually go wider in rear once ecs gets the wider Alzor style 030 wheels back in stock.
