HC2 Module Not Detected

Active Lane Change Warning not working after some coding, it's not a retrofit.
It's not showing up in E-Sys.
I checked FA and 5AG is there.

Any ideas?

What did you code? Seems like Flexray Lane 2 of the FEM is deactivated if you dont see the HC2. You have to reinitialize Flexray with Rheingold or Tool32

I didn't code HC2, just basic stuff from the cheat sheet. I did some research on how to reinitialize it, but couldn't find anything:/ Is there a step by step guide?

I already tried undoing all the changes I made with no luck

Never heard about such a phenomenom. What did you code and in which ECU?

Connect to car with Rheingold > Service Functions > bodywork > FlexRay > FlexRay initialize

Can you send me your VIN?

Got the latest version and initialized it. But it's still showing an error with this module.

This is what it says:

Fault description: The control unit was not coded after programming.

Condition for fault identification: Supply voltage between 9 and 16 volts.

Terminal 15 ON

Condition for fault memory entry: Stored within 500 ms after terminal 15 ON.

Action in service: Repeat programming/encoding.

Note: Ensure that the newest version of the program, including the current software updates, is used for the programming!

It may be necessary to select the control unit manually during encoding procedure. The coding procedure must be entered in the action plan.

There may be a sporadic problem with the vehicle interface. Change vehicle interface (use a different ICOM) and repeat the programming/encoding.

Driver information
Service instruction

But when I troubleshoot it, it says communication is ok

Did you try to reinitialize Flexray with Rheingold or Tool32? Rheingold didnt work for me. Had to use Tool32 > LearnFlex lanes

At this point there are only 2 options. Your HC2 Master Unit is gone or the FlexRay lane the HC2 is connected to the FEM is deactivated.

Rheingold worked for me, it was in a different place but it did it successfully, but the problem didn't go away. It actually said there was a problem with the module that makes sense as it was related to what I was doing, sort of, because I never coded that module, but it is when it happened, when I was coding the car. So as of right now, I'm trying to code the module, tried to follow a guide, using ENET and E-sys, it was "successfull" but didn't fix the problem, and it only took a few seconds, so I'm pretty sure it didn't do it. So right now, I got an ICOM 3.0.3 emulator to do it the other way. But any other ideas? I'll also try Tool32

In my case Rheingold also say flexray init was succesful but it dont do anything.

Only think i can suggest at this point, if you have teamviewer i can take a look at the problem of your car.

Edit: When I did the FlexRay init with Rheingold, I got a bunch of codes on pretty much all modules. Once I deleted them they went away and never came back except for HC2.

Last time i initialised Flexray, the car didn't move a centimeter, no gear shifts, eps, airbag, icm, no communication!! it was a nightmare, however, after all of that, my retorfitted HC2 didnt work well!

asked a friend for help, and we did the magic through tool32

last time after initialization, those errors were not delete-able, and i had to use tool32 ZGW.PRG and change 0x00 to 0x01 and 0x03
just take care, as I deeply know that u will need this info if initialisation didn't go well!

Late response but it's cause I just got it up and running last night. What I did was activate a an old FA (one that had HC2), and then opened an old SVT file, at this point cause it is a backup, HC2 (shows up), so I just coded it into the car and it worked!

However, this broke my parking sensors, and the steering wheel doesn't vibrate as hard as it used to. Any ideas? Is there any coding instructions for this module? Lane Change Warning

Update: Parking sensors worked the next day, probably needed a reboot? Will test the steering wheel vibration and update.

Hi , i have a problem with retrofitted Lane Change Warning too , had to open flexray channel 3 with Tool32 and everything work but in Ista i have 801C60 fault code (ZGM:No FlexRay initiallisation) , when i proceed with FlexRay initialisation with ISTA it will close channel 3 and won't find HC2 module in ESYS . Is there a way to initialise FlexRay without closing channel 3 ?? thanks .
