E91 17x8" ET20 wheels "searching for road"

Hi,
just bought a set of 17" wheels, theyīre a replica on the style 44 and I really liked the idea of those wheels on a E91. They did come with tyres witch are really worn out and Iīm having trouble with the front wheels living there own life. I donīt get any vibrations, so the should be nicely balanced but can it be just from the tyres.
Iīve seen people here talking about running ET20 all round with a 8" wheel but is it actually okay?!
It canīt too wide, the tyre is 225/45, so just as it should be, so can it be the offset?

I do like the looks so really hoping for it to be the tyres, allthough have thoughed about going ET47 in the front, since the fronts are a BIT too far out for my tast.
But not really sure it the original would fit, since it will be 26mm less clearence on the inside and donīt want to run any spacers...

Thanks for the replays and happy to have joined the forum
Andre

You always just run more camber in the front to tuck it in.

Check your alignment, offset won't be causing your issue.

Running a spacer is exactly the same as a wheel with lower offset.

But can just replacing the wheels mess with the adjustment?
My wintertyres are on the original style 154-s that are J7x16" ET34 (205/55 tyres), everything was fine with that setup...
And I understand about spacers but with the original style 44 the offset is 47 and Iīm afraid that would be too much, so a 10/13mm spacer would be in order.

No changing wheels should not change alignment.

So the only option would be bad tyres I guess?!

Different offsets will effect the characteristics of handling, but bad tyres could also do that.

There's a few variables at play.

But it will, different offset (lower offset wheels or adding spacers) will affect scrub radius and will introduce tramlining.
