Get email working on idrive

I have EBT with professional Nav and the office option on idrive but only get text messages.
How do I get it to work with email so I can get them on idrive

Use Android with default email app (not Outlook or Gmail).

Should have said I am using an iPhone 6 with iOS 10.2 and use the default mail app

If you have 10.2, you can jailbreak it and install a tweak that forwards all iOS notifications to your vehicle.

Correct, android only. I don't know how to make it work for iPhone though.

I take it BMW didn't look to make android and iOS work. I am sure things like Spotify only work a properly with iOS nor email only with android.
I think a jailbreak is ott just to get email working
