Injen Intake - Leak Sound??

Just installed injen intake for 428i n20.

In sport mode with about 1/3 throttle, it sounds like the intake is trying to suck air in but at the same time sounds like air is leaking..

If I go 1/2 throttle or more it really isn't too noticeable (but still little leaking air sound), and upon releasing the throttle it would make the 'woosh' sound as expect (and it's dam nice!!).

It sounds slightly different compared to my old DC5 many years back where I'd just hear a mean growl when intake is sucking air then woosh sound when release.

Anyone with aftermarket intake experience this issue? I drive around with 1/3 throttle a lot and this is annoying.

I have JB4 and no codes are coming up. AFR seems to be around 14 most the time.

Pretty sure its normal. I have the injen and you can hear the diverter valve release pressure under low rpm (regulating the psi to the engine, although, I always thought the waste gate was responsible for regulating it).

Thanks for reply!

Problem I'm having is CONSTANTLY hearing the intake leak/release air while it's sucking air at 1/3 throttle, the 'wosh' sound when I take my foot off is normal.

Emailed Injen not really responding either

I'll see if my phone can record the sound.. highly doubt it'll do any justice.

Does the intake not suck more air under Park mode and rev the engine??

Yup, sounds exactly what mine does. I think its the car regulating the pressure.

My n26 makes the same noise it's the diverter valve doing its thing. I think it's normal.

Sounds normal. This took my by surprise as well coming from many boosted cars, I was very curious as why it sounds like this as I have never seen such a system bleed off air to regulate, almost seems like the spring is way too soft but it is controlled by a electrical input to make the ECU happy.
