Shipping rims and tires
I did some searching but came up blank. I need to ship a set of rims and tires and the pricing is all over the place. Anyone have a preferred shipping company they use? I've checked the major ones, pretty salty...........any alternate shippers?

Basic problem solving
Quote:
1) Determine weight <x> and dimension <y> of each unit 2) Determine point of shipping and destination 3) Determine value of each unit 4) Determine required delivery date 5) Google “ship <X> lb <origination> <destination>” 5a) Google “ship <X> lb <origination> <destination> <y>” Consider all carriers, and pay up for liability and insurance. Be advised, from someone who ships equipment across the world, determine the difference “insurance” from “liability”. That’s your homework. http://howtoshipwheels.com/HowToShipWheelsWithTires/ Go to a local UPS store and they'll give you estimates. Using those parameters - use the web to find out which carrier is cheapest. Get insurance. |
