iPhone 6s text messaging now working

Hey all

Today I checked the messages folder in m235 and now my iPhone 6s texts can now be seen and read on my radio. Before I couldn't see any messages. Wondering if maybe an update applied.

Hmmm, I was under the impression our cars didn't have this ability. Did you have to enable anything in the iDrive menu?

Yes please share more about this. I don't have Tech so maybe it's not possible ever with my car.

you need tech package and enhanced bluetooth

That's what I thought. Next time I'm getting the Tech stuff. This is ridiculous. My wife's Kia Sorento plays my iTunes music and controls it through the stereo and wheel controls once it's plugged into the USB. You would think that these days that technology would be a standard thing.

I've got Tech & Enhanced Blue tooth (no Apple Carplay) and still don't get messages on the screen. I can only access them through Siri.

You just need to configure the phone and idrive correctly...

this is for emails but it's basically the same ...http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=895090

make sure you have notifications enabled in the bluetooth configuration and that office is enabled on idrive
