Just ordered new Pilot Sport 4s
Last week I ordered a set of Pilot Sport 4s for my car, it came with Conti's which I am not a fan of, car has 9,000 miles on it and the rears are already down to about 5/32 so I am doing a autocross day this weekend and then will put my PS4S on when they arrive in about a week. I will report back but from everything I have read and watched they should be a nice match for the M2.

i'm looking forward to reading your review of the new ps4s. mine came with the conti and i plan to replace them with the new ps4s when the time comes. the pps were the best street tires (just the street, not track, not autox) i've ever had, especially in wet conditions. all of the rumors suggest that the ps4s are even more superior than the pps. i'm very glad that the ps4s are finally here.

Rears arrived today, they look pretty interesting. Tirerack estimates the fronts will ship around March 1st. I have an autocross this weekend so I will put the Conti's through their paces and then next month will have the 4s on my car to compare.

Same as the factory spec sizes. The cost is $1,161 plus shipping. Bought them through Tire Rack. The rears arrived last week and the fronts are shipping in the next couple of days. Did a autocross on my Conti's yesterday and was a bit disappointed so it will be interesting to see the difference with the 4S in a couple of weeks.

I considered it and I am sure it would be fine but decided against it. I will be buying a separate set of wheels and tires for track days, probably the 18" setup Tire Rack put together. These tires are going to get one autocross day for comparison to the Conti's and then will be daily only.

Cup 2 really isn't an option, where I live we get torrential rains during monsoon season and Cup 2 tires don't play well in the rain and they simply don't have the treadle to make them practical for someone who drives 14,000 plus miles a year. From what I have read the Ps4s is all the tire I will need, I will find out soon enough but Michelin has never let me down so I doubt it will this time.
If my car was a third car being used at the track and fair weather days only then the Cup 2 would be tempting. A buddy of mine who also has an M2 uses his car almost entirely for track work and plans on buying the Cup 2 once his super sports wear out. |

After a couple of hundred miles on the Pilot Sport 4s I can tell you they rock compared to the Conti's. My experience on the PSS was limited to 2 days on track at the M School so I cannot speak to that comparison but I can tell you the 4s is solid in every way. Did a 25 mph curved off ramp at 78 mph with no problem at all. Pretty great.

I need those tires, but I have not found any location yet that can get them for the M2. Anyone here who was able to order them in Europe?
