Vacuum line and/or injector problem
I have an f32 428i and have had this problem for a while. After warming up mu car keeps stuttering while idling and sometimes stalling. I have the p00bd and p0172 codes going off ( air flow too high and fuel to rich). Taken it to thw dealership multiple times, forst time they replaced a fuel injector. Second time they blamed it on the air intake (stock but cracked vacuum nozzle) replaced that and everything seems to be fine with the connections however i still have the same codes going off. O2 sensors are working fine and the MAF's are fine as well. Took it back to dealership and still nothing. Trying to see what some Of you guys think.
Any help would be appreciated. Have tried almost everything and. NOone seems to be able to figure out the problem |

So u actually had those problems or the dealer just replaced all what "might" be causing the problems ? It does not seem right to pop up the same codes after the problem was already solved.
Could it be a misinterpretation of your codes ?

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever figure out the problem? I'm having the same 2 codes come up in my '15 428i. I have a K&N stock replacement filter, and I know sometimes the oil can throw off the MAF. I cleaned the it with MAF cleaner and the codes came back a day later. I don't want to start throwing money into parts til I have it narrowed down a bit more. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Knowing what those codes are would help. While you're at it google them, chances are someone has already figured it out and posted it somewhere.

They are the same codes as above. P0172 - Mixture Control System Too Rich Bank 1 and P00BD - Mass or Volume Air Flow 'A' Circuit Range/Performance - Air Flow Too High. The wife reports slightly sluggish feel right before the CEL comes on, then back to normal, while the light stays on. I've searched far and wide and this was the most relevant thread I could find, but still no solution. I want to avoid spending hundreds throwing parts at it, if I can.

Thank you for looking that up. I guess my question is, with both of those codes present, is it more likes an 02 sensor issue, or MAF sensor, or is there any way of knowing? I'll check for air leaks/cracking and clean the MAF again. If it comes back on, what would be the next step?

Too rich AND mass too high? Seems like you have a boost leak somewhere.
