XenonDepot HID installed on *Halogen Plug N Play Projectors*
Okay so some of you guys know my process and I wanted to install Xenon Depot's HID Kit into my halogen plug n play projectors that i got from E90 Andy. The installation went well, and all the mountings were re-arranged today after I took off my bumper. For the driver side, i put the resistor against the metal and zip tied the wires to keep it tight and stable. For the passenger side, I left the resistor hang tight on the little plastic tab and i zip tied the wire to keep it stable. I hope it wont melt down the zip tie
btw, does anyone know what product I'm suppose to use to seal up the headlights ? the wires weren't completely sealed up... SOME pics i took after i rearranged everything. ballast mounted on passenger side with 3M double sided 5lbs mounting tape driver side resistor on driver side, its not touching anything at all, although it may look like it is... passenger side, you see I zip tied the WIRES, NOT the resistor itself since it will melt the plastics... after everything was done, i wanted to make sure that the lights still worked =D i will have more night & output pics later on ! keep posted EDIT: the lights look OEM since i got 4300k, and no one could probably tell that i have an HID Kit haha

Just thought I would add in this picture showing exactly how are ballasts are designed specifically for aftermarket HID applications:
This epoxy seals the ballast and helps protect against harsh weather conditions. Steve |

6000k's are nice. I had them on my E46 coupe. I swapped b/c I kinda got screwed by BMW when I got my car. Instead of my car coming with the 4300k philipps, my car came equipped with 4100k osrams which were just horrible. The 6000k's give nice light output and also look great on the car!

hey Jae, how difficult is it to install the HID kit and how much time and money did it cost you? Do you have to replace the connectors on the bulbs?
One of mine is melted... so I am guessing going HID might be a good 2 in 1:P |
