Duraflex m-tech... found one on CL same color as my car

I'm dubious of the duraflex m-tech rear bumper, but found one on Craigslist 20 minutes from me painted the same color as my car listed for $300. If I were to get it for $250, would it even worth it, or is it going to be a headache?

Also does anyone know if other diffusers would fit up to a duraflex rear. I know they will with the ECS bumper (which I was originally planning on).

Also does anyone know if a real tow hook cover can be put in place instead of the weird recessed space on the duraflex bumper.

Although I don't have personal experience, I've read many a times that Duraflex (fiberglass products) are an absolute pain in the ass to deal with and are to be generally ignored at all costs. Both in terms of typically poor fitment and a lack of rigidity--meaning prone to cracking.

Again, this is merely what I've read on several occasions. Perhaps someone with actual experience with a Fiberglass product can chime in.

Personally though, I'd stay away. Unless you can get more information as to why it's "being sold", test fit it prior to purchase and get it for $250. Maybe then I'd consider, but that's a big maybe.

Yeah this is what I was thinking and have heard as well... I was hoping for some miracle story of it being good. The prospect of saving on paint was appealing.

If it was polyurethane or something similar you would have the possibility of using a heat gun and some elbow grease to make it fit better. Fiberglass doesn't have that possibility, the fit is the fit. If the bumper is currently mounted to the seller's car then you will have a pretty good idea how it will fit on yours. Otherwise, it is way too much of a risk and I would recommend avoiding it.
