Question Intake and Exhaust combo 06 330i ?

I've decided to keep my car and would like to add a intake & exhaust system for a little hp and sound. Has anyone bought the BMW factory performance units, or have a good suggestion on a combo. Thanks everyone

I have gruppem intake and Hamann quad exhaust. It is pure sex
For low rpm, you will hear exhaust sound and after 4k rpm, you will hear gruppem intake more. Highly recommended

i have gruppeM replica and re Ikon exhaust, they made an awsome combo, not overly loud but definitely noticeble sound when over 3000 rpm, in terms of performance wise, gruppeM adds some low-end torque but i dk about ikon, it doesnt seem too much different.

One option I would consider is the Simota CF Ram Style Intake which is a carbon based replacement intake that replaces the entire factory piece. For an exhaust, I would do the Eisenmann Sport or Race Exhaust which is a stainless steel muffler replacement available in two different sound levels depending on how loud you want to go.

Simota and Remus powersound here.... sounds sexcellent but be advised... most exhaust won't change the sound too drastically... unless you just cut out the muffler all together

I just put the GruppeM intake on last weekend and I do gotta say, that is a great sound. I will probably wait until next summer for full exhaust, so I will be watching this thread for interesting ideas.

$1200 for an intake seems steep...especially when the power gains are so nominal. But they do sound great.

Well everyone on here probably has the Gruppe M replica, but those are hard to find, well ones with good price, good fitment, and the "carbon fiber" not peeling/wearing off of the plastic

na, I got the real deal. Bought it used off Hunter399, not a scratch or chip or peeling spot anywhere.

Damn I want it, whenever you ever feel the need to get rid of it, I'll take
it off your hands. But Im talking about the Gruppe M replica has had fitment
issues and quality of the intake like cover for it has been known to lose its
look.

Since Gruppe M rep is so hard to find/find for a good price Im thinking of going
AFE, what I have heard is the only problems that can come with them is...well why they dont sometimes make power..

1) People dont let the oil on the filter dry enough and the
MAF Sensors get messed up.
2) Makes less power than stock when engine is hot

Thats all I have heard, but as far as I know it is good intake?]

Any opinions, Im about to buy it pretty soon

EDIT:

Seems on the AFE website the Intake is like 400$++ so hmm Gruppe M rep and
AFE are really close in price, this is a hard decision

Alex,

That's so odd that it didn't fit on your car because I have had a few other 330 customers install it without a hitch. I'm wondering if there is a difference in production runs.

Im really wanting to find a used REAL Gruppe M or possibly a new Gruppe M rep that is not 600$++.

I will keep looking for Gruppe M, but AFE looks pretty good for now, even
though it is expensive 2.

Well I have found Brand New AFE for 400$ flat, but what should I get
the Pro Dry S or Normal. It seems Pro Dry just has a different filter that
doesn't need to be oiled. Will that effect the performance between
getting oiled and not oiled filter?
