295/30/19 Toyo Proxies R888 on 19x10 ET38 wheels

I have a E92 335is with rolled fenders. Will 295/30/19 Toyo Proxies R888 on 19x10 ET38 wheels rub?

A 265/30-19 R888 can fit out back, and will suit the 10" wheel you have very well. 295's on the other hand are not going to go on without a major fight. As the gentleman above me mentioned, R888 run wide. A 295 R888 can technically be mounted on a 10" wheel, but I would like to see a 10.5' or 11" wheel for proper sidewall support.

What type of power are you putting down?

Switch to a 265/30/19. +25-28 is an ideal offset for 19x10's on E90's, not sure about E92.

434WHP/517WTQ last time I had it dynoed. Pushing quite a bit more now that I'm FBO E85. Upgrading turbos soon, will be pushing around 750WHP.

I was running 265/30/19 and they were perfect. Just wanted something wider.

Toyo R888 runs wide so 295 might be even wider than 305 width on some other tires. I assume it will be no go. For example I run 255/35 with 275/35 and went with 245/40 with 275/35 Toyo R888 and it wound not fit, neither front nor back.

Wider not necessarily means better and bigger contact patch. Just get stickier tire in the size you run currently.

You can still get away with that size on a 10.5, and the stretch is incredibly mild. I had that setup on a wide-lipped set of wheels on a previous sports-car, and it looked fantastic.

295's? why?

you need something thats balanced to the amount of power you have.. tires and rims arent only for aesthetics. anything more then 255 width isnt going to rotate itll be boring.

Would M3 Front And Rear Control Arms make a difference with it's negative camber?

Anywhere from 450-500whp. Will be 700-750whp in a few months.

In what case would a 295 tire on a 10 inch wide wheel not provide a bigger contact patch vs a 265 tire on a 10 inch wide wheel?

I want 275 but R888 doesn't come in that size for a 19 inch wheel. What's stickier than R888?

295 Because R888 doesn't come in that size for a 19 inch wheel.

Wider tires increases the contact patch in the lateral sense (IE grip in corners) by lengthening the contact patch. This also makes the contact patch skinnier.

Softer compounds increases the contact patch in all directions, hence him saying to just get a sticker tire.

I'm gonna try this again. Will 295/30/19 Toyo Proxies R888 on 19x10 ET38 wheels if I have rolled fenders and M3 control arms? Would the negative camber help? Thanks in advance!

It could help with clearance on the outside but not sure if it would help with shock clearance. I ran 295 Hankook with rolled and slightly pulled fenders and it rubbed a bit on big bumps. Also barely cleared the shock body. If the Toyos run large it's going to be really close.

But why would you increase camber to fit a larger tire? Defeats the purpose since you're not going for "stance".

I'm increasing camber for handling. I was just hoping it would help with the clearance as well.

i'm leaning more towards buying E9X M3 Competition Wheels

Front Wheels - 19x9" ET31 (25.4 LBS, 31mm offset)
Rear Wheels - 19x10" ET25 (26.6 LBS, 25mm offset)

Front Tire - 245/35/19
Rear Tire - 265/35/19

I have those wheels and im running a 265/40/19 Nitto NT555 G2, all those performance tires run wider and taller than regular tires, i have a 335is with rolled & pulled fenders, don't go any wider than a 275 with a performance tire
