USB Video Play with CIC?

I see some F30 cheat sheet options to enable USB video and to enable codecs like XVID. Are these NBT only or can they be done on CIC (2012 F30)?

Ability to play video from USB requires NBT(2).
For HU_CIC, you can play from DVD or Phone.

Hi Almaretto, how do you play videos from your phone? I tried a dvd in my car today but it said unrecognisable, so tried another and that registered it but did not play anything so would like an alternative! Thanks in advance

Using docking cradle. I do not have HU_CIC though, so I use USB.
