Will this be a problem for a winter setup?

So stock is 19x9 F / 19x10 R, correct? Wearing 245/35 on the front and 265/35 rear?

The Tirerack website recommends a 245/40 R18 for winter, on an 18x8.

I currently have a set of Nokian Hakkapellitta R2 in 225/40R18 on my Audi, they're mounted on 18x8 as well.

Obviously I won't be able to reuse the 5x112 VW/Audi wheels on a BMW, but am I going to have any problems running the 225/40 rubber instead of the recommended 245/40? Speedo will be off a little bit, but from tire calculators, I'm only seeing 1-2%?

How exactly do you use a tire calculator when you've got a car with factory-staggered setup? Do you call the fronts the "stock size" for calculation purposes, or use the rears? What does the speedo read from? (I've only ever had FWD or AWD cars with square setups.)
