ok so what I gathered from reading all I can on this topic, it will work but I will get a red dot on the screen unless I get the eeprom chip cleared. which I cant due.. My other option that I saw Larry_ due is the all digital dash from a 5 series.. but not sure if he got that working 100%. if he has then I will definitely go that route.. can anyone assist me in this endeavor..

They have gotten the 6WB working 100%, I have it in my F30 but I don't have the parking brake emulator, so it doesn't actually show up if I use the parking brake, but since I never use it, it isn't an issue.

And yes, if you can't clear the chip then you will have the red dot, it's up to you if you can live with it, however I have heard of some issues where if the vin doesn't match, everytime stop/start button is pressed, it will increase the mileage on the car

ok if I buy a 6wb what due I ask the seller??? does it need to be cleared of anything, and due I need any additional parts to get it to work with my head unit, my husband is a fabricator so modifying the part wont be an issue, I found a used one for 300 bucks usd in hungary, so not sure what to ask for, I know to make sure its a gas version and not diesel, lol.. but that's about all I know.

If they can clear the VIN/Mileage for you, that would be ideal. Outside of that, you will need a different connector for the MOST/Wiring, F30 uses 2 plugs from factory, 6WB uses 1.
