19s are not too big. its just when you go a wheel size bigger than what comes oem, you may see more wheel gap than you prefer despite the fact overall diameter remains the same (thats why most people usually lower theirs cars when they go up in wheel size). but on a car like ours which come with a sports suspension, i don't think 19s would look bad at all. the only thing you need to be concerned with is offset and width.
in regards to your CHs, assuming its a 35mm/40mm offset for front and rear, it should fit fine =) Last edited by 3002 tii; 04-18-2008 at 08:29 AM.. |

thx..for your information... now, it is the stock 225/40 R18 , and 255/35 R18.... i used to drive a e46 330ci at 235/35/19, and 265/30/19 ... more stable ride.., but accereation..wise..no good..and slighty higher fuel consumption.. wondering..what size..should i go if 19 "..for my Z4 coupe |

If you think it is not too big on an M, then not too big for non-M. As far as the BBS CH's are concerned, that is top 3 wheel choices for me on M3's. Post picks on our car if and when you get them. I think it will look great!

yes..i am on the tire rack to check the look of the CH .., someone offer me 19x8.5J and 19x9 .. a almost new used set...
but not sure the offset.. ,it was on the E92.. i also just check.. ,i may go for 225/35/19 and 255/30/19 which shall not add too much weight, and may not give up too much acceration.. wondering the stock 18 wheel 's weight..compare to those CH at 19" |

WONDERING ANY RUBBING ISSUE WITH LOW DOWN..OR WITHOUT LOW DOWN ..FOR THIS SET UP
for the CH in 19s, you want to go... front: 225/35-19 X 8.5 ET 35 rear: 255/30-19 X 9.5 ET 40 __________________ |

IMHO I think 18"s are perfect for the Z4, and will in all likelihood give you slightly better performance due to lighter weight and the rotation mass being closer to the center. Ride quality will be better, wheels and tires will be less expensive, and they will be less likely to get bent or curbed. I was looking at 19"s some months ago and ultimately decided against it.

the CH at those sizes is actually weight lighter or about the same the my exisit wheel (style 202 at 18x8 ET47. 18x8.5 ET 50)
for the tire , take the PS2 as an example..information from tirerack original sizes and weight : 225/40/18 at 21 lbs, 255/35/18 at 24 lbs new sizes : 225/35/19 at 21lbs , 255/30/19 at 24lbs therefore..the new combo shall weigth about the same rotation mass is further away from the centre.., it shall affect a bit.. really do worry about the rubbing issue.if it is lower... and cost for new tire..... |

I'm on stock suspension at the moment with out any rubbing issues. A 1/2" drop is semi planned for the future.
I found the ride improved alot over the Bridgestone RFT's, as well as an improvement in overall response. |

i want the biggest size i can get because my main concern is the stance, however im worried because where i live theres too many holes in the roads so would this config stand against imperfections in the road? by the way i have a 2.5si but i dont know if my car have sport suspension [people say si models come with sport suspension but im not sure] thx

I've always been from the school where form (looks) follow function (performance). If you put on what performs best, then that's what performance looks like. Where as giving your car that "performance look" won't automatically make it perform. Rubberbands belong in your desk drawer, not on your car. Last edited by UncleScottie; 03-18-2009 at 10:49 AM.. |

I'm running
19 x 8.5 235/35/ Front 19 x 9.5 265/30 Rear with 35/40 offsets on an si coupe with sport suspension. I have rubbing going on in the front. Is there anyone that is running the same setup lowered on either the non-sport and sport suspension. They use the same lowering springs I believe.
