Exhaust clip: e90 catless dp center resonator delete

Stock mufflers with catless downpipes and the center resonator chopped out with two straight pipes in its place. Did some research before doing it and didn't find anyone else posting with this setup so I thought i'd make a contribution. Spent only around $140 to get it done. Enjoy and let me know what you guys think!

I still have the perforated pipes in the muffler so the drone is minimal it's more of just a quiet purr when crusing

You need to have two resonators in place of the secondary cats, sounds perfect afterwards! Then when you wanna be loud just remove your muffler..

Sounds pretty good. Ive got dps and center muffler replaced with x pipe. I want more roar so I was thinking about doing a pe mod or removing 2nd cats. Im worried about the smell if I remove the second cats. I already get some unpleasant smells.

The pe mod sounds ok, if you wanna do it i'd recommend just chopping off the mufflers and put some stainless pipe and do vibrant resonators in place of the secondaries like jjbmuu said. You'll save a bunch of weight and it'll sound better then just the pe mod alone but it'll def smoke. You could also see if the resonators will fit after the cats instead of chopping them out. IMO when you do the pe mod with catless dp the exhaust note becomes too hollow and raspy, you lose the grunt and throatiness you get from having the perforated pipes.
