Titanium Stud Kit from Ozmo Engineering (Group Buy)

So I'm wanting to put a new stud kit together for my new wheels and was thinking about going a similar route as with my e92 m3. There was a successful group buy that was put together and was curious if anyone in the m2 crowd would want to join in with me. I'm posting a link from m3post where they did it and also a link to Ozmo's website (also pasting in what they emailed me). I'd like to get a running list started so reply to the thread or pm me if you're interested. Mods if this is in the wrong area please let me know or move it? Thanks!

Hi Kyle,

We can and have done this before when we made a M14 Porsche stud kit. However they weren't big sellers and we didn't make any more after we sold whatever was in stock. If you wanted us to make them, we would need at least 5 sets from a forum group buy (we actually need to make 10-20sets for them to be cost effective). Price would be $299 with free shipping

Jamie Krogdahl

Those are beautiful but I just can't stomach the price. Particularly when they are mostly hidden and not visible. Also, I just bought a set of studs as a black Friday special and have yet to install. Maybe this weekend as my wheels are do in 2 weeks.

What's the advantage of switching to studs?

Mainly easier to change wheels. Since they won't just fall off after you take the last lug out. Can be mitigated with a wheel hanger though...

That was the only thing I could think of too. Thanks for confirming I wasn't missing something.

Definitely won't be missing $299 :.That's expensive hardware.

All valid reason and as anal as it sounds i like the overall look of this stud kit combined with wheels versus some of the others on the market. I know the price is steep but compared to some of the lug kits alone, like kics, the value isn't too out of range.

Will do. The way that it worked before is everyone just PayPal'd them to pay individually and then they shipped out the sets from there. I'll double check with them if that's how they want to do it again.

Here's the reply that i just received from them.

That's great news. Yes, can PayPal the payment to: info@ozmoengineering.com

As soon as we get enough orders, will start the manufacturing - please advise people not to wait till after the group buy, as we may not make spares to keep in stock. Lead time will be 4-6weeks due to a backlog after our Christmas shutdown. If you don't get enough orders, we will just refund the payments

Do you have more details on the specs? What is the stud length, nut size and thread size? Also, do they provide a tool to install the studs? Thanks!
