BMW Genuine discs ??
Hi guys, I am new to the forum and would appreciate some advice.
I have a f30 330d and need some front discs and pads, I don't have the blue upgraded ones just the standard ones. I would like to upgrade to the blue ones at some stage but just don't have the funds at the moment, so my question is, would you buy genuine discs and pads or aftermarket discs and genuine pads ? Any advice would be appreciated thanks |

I'd love to go with the yellow m sport breaks myself. If I was u I'd go with the standard disc and an upgraded pad.
Has anybody an idea of price to upgrade to the m sport breaks for the f30 or 31 320d??? |

If you want the yellow ones, they are m performance, I had the reds fitted for 1400 |

Yeah, was a special offer, 20% off the price and free fitting for Black Friday, you can try Lloyd at rybrook Warwick to see if they can still offer something similar

The biggest advantage in breaking comes with larger rotors, better quality calipers not just more pistons. You can get some after market pads that will bite a bit better but ware quickly

it has genuine discs and pads on at the moment, I think the genuine ones are ok but are they worth paying the extra for or are others putting aftermarket ones on and saving their money??

Some of the aftermarket rotors are made by companies that specialise in breaks and are as good and sometimes better than the car company itself. Some of these discs are branded for car companies

The OEM discs are made by another company anyway, not BMW. especially the M sport brake discs.

Get some Ebc yellow if want a hugh improvement in braking. Those pads last a long time and has hugh improvement if you want something cheap to upgrade to.
