Difference Between F22 and F87 Black Grill Surrounds

Are there any difference between the F22 2 series Black Grill Surrounds Vs the F87 M2 Black Grill Surrounds? Part Number seems to be different (51712336815** vs 51712355447**). The cost is also half on the F22 vs the M2. Curious if anyone knows. Thanks!

I think a few members have bought just the surround before and replaced it - so should be the same. Hopefully they chime in.

The change? Cost..

M2 surroundings have the M tax..

I bought the BMW Black Surroundings for the F22 and swapped the inner grills from my stock into them and voila..

Its the entire grille you get, not just the surrounding part. The difference is the M2 grilles are double slats and includes a logo but as the other said you can just re-use your stock centers as they are gloss black already.

Just picked up the F22s from Sterling BMW in Newport for $105 + tax in CA. Took me 3 minutes to separate the black ring from the grills. I'll take out the OEM ones, swap the trim, and put them back and end up with a "spare" set to hang in the garage or make into monster eyes for a Burning Man project or something

Confirming: I got 51712336815 + 816

So you paid $114 for it? That seems like a deal as Tischer sells them for 119 shipped for both. Was that a hookup price? Any contact I can talk to for that price as I'm going to Sterling to pickup my car in a week anyways and I rather just pick it up then. Thanks!

We're only talking about $5, right? I actually picked them up off via their ebay site at that price, but since I had a contact, asked about a diffuser and spoiler and got what I think are really good prices: $430 for the spoiler and $805 for the diffuser. All new BMW OEM, and of course not through eBay once I had the contact.

It does seem like good pricing. I didn't research extensively but googling the P/Ns seemed significantly higher at a lot of places. I asked if I could post his contact info in case others wanted pricing and he was fine with it. I'll start another thread in case anyone's interested.

edit: here's the other thread with contact info: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1345137
