Wiper Sensitity

BMW have released a puma case for the i3 to change sensitivity of the wipers on the cars.

Just wondering if anyone had a chance to find similar for F30. Would be useful to make them more sensitive

thanks

Almaretto,

I coded that item on my 2014 F30 to empfindlich (01) (sensitive) and it doesn't seem to affect them. Does the very sensitive make a difference?

Thanks

I have only coded unempfindlich on my and others vehicles and it does make a difference (not as much this time of year, but does during spring and summer so lights do not come on at 16:00 when it is still bright on the West coast).

I have never messed with the additional speed and sensitivity settings. With the recent, uncharacteristic storms, I have not had any issues with rain and wipers.

Hmm this might actually make it worse I did think about it make wipers more sensitive to come on whcih is good but at same time I dont want xenosn coming on so easily .

They are a pain coming on just as you go in a underpass under a highway etc. Might revert back and look at the other settings

My i3 has had the official BMW fix for wipers done will need to compare settings I think

RLS_DEF_FLC_SCHWELLWERT_SATZ is for the automatic headlights sensitivity. You can adjust the rain sensor (wipers) sensitivity from the stalk on the right (The one you pull to activate the washers).

There is another code to adjust the wipers further there is a recent PUMA case for hte i3 to change the way the stalk scroll wheel functions. Makes the wipers more sensitive and gives more frequent wipes. Irrespective of the scrollwheel setting. The sensitive is increased. I've not had chance to pluginto the i3 to compare settings but need to as makes such a difference

but agree RLS_DEF_FLC_SCHWELLWERT_SATZ: RLS does change the headlights so they come on much too early now.

Ihoppe its not a joint setting as will be annoying otherwise

Yes, but, with the most sensitive setting activated on the stalk, the rain sensor still kicks in a bit late. At least, it does for me, and I've read that a few other guys have the same opinion. I've also read that, after a windshield replacement (by whatever reason), at least a couple of those guys had their "problem" automatically solved...

Maybe after every alteration of settings the sensor needs to be re-initialized? Not sure. I haven't initialized mine and it works fine and I have RLS_DEF_FLC_SCHWELLWERT_SATZ normal.

RLS = Rain Light Sensitivity.
It affect both headlamps and wipers.
