Got my Foam Cannon!

After much research, I finally took the plunge and bought myself a pressure washer and foam cannon. So far, I love using it. It creates thick frothy foam which sticks on the car for quite some time. I'm starting to experiment with different soaps. So far I've used Meg's Gold class and Meg's hyperwash. Hyperwash was the better of the two. I have DG901 and CG CWG coming this week. Here's some pics today on my mom's car:

CWG is an awesome soap for the foam cannon for sure, I also add some cheap soap like armor all or eagle one for extra foam.

I can only imagine how foamy the Poorboy's suds would be. I've been considering one of these.

Out of all the soaps I have used in my cannon, CWG and CWC are by far the best for thick sticky suds.

I find that you need a soap that will stay on the paint long enough to wash it, therefore those are my fav!

Holy Crap! I want a foam cannon! I would order things from the web just to blast the fed-ex guy with it. Can you imagine getting blasted with a foam cannon through a mail slot?

Oh yeah, it looks gret for washing a car too...

Thanks, I bought it from a guy who was outsourcing them on another detailing forum. You can PM me for more info. The cannon itself runs $100, but cost me more than that because of the Karcher pressure washer I'm using.

I’m pretty sure it’s an Autobrite Foam Cannon. This is widely used in the UK and just as good as the Camspray version you can readily buy in the states.

Thanks, I’ll have to try that

I read that Poorboys Suds doesn’t foam well in cannon’s. I haven’t verified that though.

Definitely, I’m hoping the CWG sticks better then the hyperwash, which I’m sure it will.

See my first response above. But with a new hose, trigger, lance and connections, it was more than $200.

How is this different than using the "sudser" on my powerwaher. I usually just pour some soap into the soap container and then push the soap button- although mine does not look as near as sudsy as the pics I see online of you detailing gurus. Does it make that huge of a difference when washing?

Try a better car wash/shampoo. You should get the same results (as the photo) with a better sudsing wash than just soap.
