Question CF protection help

Quick question, how can we protect glossy exterior carbon fiber from sunlight which can cause fading?

Hey there, I really think paint sealants do the job. I just clean the surface and throw on a couple layers of PowerLock on there. I let it sit for 30 minutes, then another 30. Then I'll throw a layer collinite 845 on there later on in the day.

I would put that combo against the strongest most expensive "glass coating" product out there. Enjoy the beading.

If there is UV protectant in the clear coat you will be fine. I don't recall the last time I saw faded or yellowed CF.

Thanks for the response.

My previous licence plate cover faded over time as did my CF hood scoop on my old WRX many moons ago. I just purchased a $500 M Performance spoiler. I'll be so pissed if it starts to fade. How can you be sure if there's UV protectant in the clear coat?

All clear is usually U.V protected. It just doesn't hurt to add some sealant and or strong wax to the equation.
